NB RevLite Trainer 890 (Available in April/May 2011)

New Balance introduces the new 890 trainer. Lightest in class at 273.3 grams, the 890 is an everyday neutral trainer for runners who want foam based shoes constructed with simplicity, and an overall lighter experience without going drastically minimal.

An everyday shoe for the neutral runner who wants to run fast or feel fast in a surprisingly light package. Revlite midsole foam is 30% lighter than traditional foams, but has a durability and steadfast ride expected in an everyday shoe. Paired with a seamless, soft upper, this shoe is no less than revolutionary.

Revlite is an innovative foam compound providing the same responsiveness and durability of foams 30% heavier. Revlite offers a light weight ride without minimizing construction or sacrificing underfoot cushioning or stability.

Features:

Full ground contact through the midsole allows for stable geometries and inherent stability that can withstand pronation due to fatigue, and be relied on for normal mechanical breakdown over longer runs.

The Abzorb crash pad works to absorb initial shock and provide the right amount of lateral release to guide the foot smoothly through toe off.

No-sew upper materials are soft, supple and hold the foot securely on the platform, while adding to the surprisingly light experience of this shoe.
